Colleges and Schools 

    Academic Schools are the primary academic unit of the University and they have devolved management and budgetary responsibilities. The Head of School is appointed by the Council. The Schools are grouped into two Colleges: the Wales College of Medicine, Biology, Life and Health Sciences and the College of Humanities and Sciences, each of which has a Provost.

    Wales College of Medicine, Biology, Life and Health Sciences

    The Wales College of Medicine, Biology, Life and Health Sciences consists of the five former schools of UWCM, collectively known as the "Wales College of Medicine" (Dentistry, Healthcare Studies, Medicine, Nursing & Midwifery, and Postgraduate Medical & Dental Education), along with four schools from the former Cardiff University (Biosciences, Optometry & Vision Sciences, Psychology, and Welsh School of Pharmacy).
